Your Google Business Profile may have outdated details, unclear services or a website link that leaves customers searching again. I review the profile against your actual business, explain the priorities and implement the changes we agree. You can commission this as a standalone project or discuss it alongside wider SEO support.

This service suits businesses that meet customers at their premises or travel to customers. The starting point is the business you run: what you sell, where you work and which enquiries you want. Your business keeps ownership of its profile throughout.

What the review covers

I check ownership and access, eligibility, business facts, categories, services and the route from the profile to your website. The review also considers genuine photos and how you request and respond to customer reviews. We agree which findings become implementation tasks before changes are submitted.

The Google Business Profile guide explains how to do these checks yourself. This service applies them to your business, records the findings and assigns responsibility for the agreed work.

01

Confirm access and accurate business facts

We establish who owns the profile and whether the location or service-area setup reflects how customers meet you. I compare the name, address or coverage, phone, hours and website with information you confirm. Google's [business representation guidelines](https://support.google.com/business/answer/3038177?hl=en) provide the policy reference; adding towns to a name or creating extra profiles is not an optimisation plan. For implementation, you invite me as a manager using Google's [access controls](https://support.google.com/business/answer/3403100?hl=en). Each person uses their own account; you keep primary ownership and never share your password. Missing access or unresolved eligibility is recorded before edit work proceeds.

02

Make categories, services and photos useful

I review whether the primary category describes the core business and additional categories reflect substantial services. Proposed descriptions and service entries use language customers recognise and facts you can support. The aim is a clear account of what you provide, rather than a repeated list of keywords. Photos should help someone recognise your premises, understand your work or assess what to expect. I identify gaps and review images you supply against [Google's photo guidance](https://support.google.com/business/answer/6123536?hl=en). You confirm permission to use them. Photography, invented project images and unsupported claims are not assumed parts of the work.

03

Connect honest reviews with the website journey

I review how customers are invited to leave feedback and suggest a practical request and reply process. This can include neutral request wording and a review link. Google's [review policy](https://support.google.com/contributionpolicy/answer/7400114?hl=en) prohibits incentives and selectively requesting positive reviews. Customers choose their own rating and words; replies must protect private information. The [Google reviews guide](/blog/google-reviews-local-seo) explains the process further. I also compare the profile with the linked website page: services, coverage, contact details and enquiry routes should agree. If a customer needs another page or clearer copy, the finding names that work. Website edits and ongoing review replies are included only when the quote specifies them.

04

Approve changes and record the outcome

You receive findings with the affected field or page, supporting observation, proposed action and priority. We agree who supplies missing facts, who approves wording and who implements each change. The quote records the included tasks, delivery arrangements and reporting scope. For agreed implementation, I keep a change record and check what is visible afterwards. Submitted edits and published information are recorded separately; submitting a change does not prove that Google has accepted it. Unresolved items remain in the handover with the next action and responsible person.

What reporting can tell you

Where access and data allow, I record a starting position and compare available profile interactions over agreed periods. Google's performance guidance explains which figures are available. A call-button click does not prove an answered call, and a website click does not prove an enquiry.

Your own record of suitable enquiries and bookings helps interpret those figures. Reports distinguish changes made, observations and confirmed business outcomes. Any continuing checks, reporting dates or wider organic SEO work are agreed separately rather than assumed from this project.

Common questions

Yes. A standalone scope can cover a defined review and agreed implementation. Share the profile, website and main concerns so I can quote the appropriate work. If further support would help, we discuss it after the priorities are clear.

The number of profiles, access, completeness of business information, required edits and any website work affect scope. The proposal identifies deliverables, your inputs, approval arrangements and exclusions before work starts. There is no automatic package of posts, photos or review replies.

No. Google explains that local ranking considers relevance, distance and prominence, and businesses cannot pay for a better organic local ranking. Accurate information helps customers assess you; it cannot remove distance or guarantee enquiries.

Suspension appeals and reinstatement are outside this service. Verification approval cannot be guaranteed. If the review identifies an access, eligibility or verification dependency, I explain what prevents the agreed optimisation work from proceeding rather than treating recovery as included.

Start with your profile and priorities

Send your public profile link, website, main services, actual coverage and the issue you want reviewed. Say whether you already control the profile; do not send passwords or private customer records. I will confirm the information needed for a scoped proposal.
